Well friends, we survived 2016! Along with the rest of the world, I have set many new goals for my 2017 self. One in particular I am very excited about: I’ve decided to create a blog! I’m not quite sure why it’s taken me this long to start one, I think I may have been scared (silly, I know), but now that I’ve started, I’m hooked. There’s something special about being able to curate and tell a story through my photos. It’s a therapeutic process for me. So what better wedding to blog first than a New Year’s Eve Wedding?? 

I met Nora during my freshmen year at St. Olaf. We recently connected again when she and Derek got engaged. These two were easily one of my favorite couples to work with this season, so easy going with a hilarious sense of humor. I felt their total trust in me to capture their day and that put me at such ease. A string quartet, endless tears, MN boots, SO much love, slippery ice, s’mores, flowing champagne… I didn’t want the day to end! I’ve always been more confident in my photos rather than my words. So, I’ll just let them do the talking - Congrats Nora & Derek :)
